Bridge the gap between underserved communities and impact investors, innovative philanthropists, entrepreneurs, corporate executives, universities, and thought leaders, through immersive, place-based experiences. We mobilize investment, talent, and meaning towards these underserved communities to create sustainable, inclusive prosperity.
WHAT WE DO
Our core experience is a “Learning Journey,” which is professionally designed as an intimate, invitation-only experience that brings together leaders to build trust and create an on-ramp towards long-term engagement around a particular challenge.
Through such experiences, participating groups can collectively identify the highest "leverage points" that accelerate change in their domain. Because the groups we bring together are so intentionally diverse -- across industry, age, gender, socio-economic status and region -- the insights that emerge have systems-level implications, with potential application elsewhere in other communities and organizations.
We have organized six learning journeys around the world with 80 cross-sector leaders. Our most recent one was in Williamson, West Virginia, where the group developed a regional economic transition strategy and connected local leaders to national networks of talent and capital, in light of the recent decline of the coal industry.
Impact Experience is affiliated with the Center for Social Innovation at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, the Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation, Ben & Jerry’s, and the Calvert Funds.
